Creating for everyone

Creating for everyone

Since we create for everyone, we have inclusion standards in our learning design and production process: for generations, gender, and minorities (communities).

INTRO FACTOR CLAVE

We are a producer of learning experiences, dedicated to the creation of educational content and platforms with high interactivity. We create learning experiences that reach people, that are useful to them and that can improve the conditions of their own reality.

Solution provided: Model to create inclusive learning contents

Team involved: SME’s Factor Clave

THE CHALLENGE

At Factor Clave we understand that training must be relevant, captivate people and influence their criteria to build fairer societies. So, we always ask ourselves how to create learning content that goes further than explaining the content. So, we set out to create a model that would allow the entire work team to have the same references.

THE SOLUTION

We develop a model for the creation of characters, stories, and activities, which integrates psychological, narrative, and graphic perspectives that, in parallel to learning, promote a more equitable society. The model is based on the following premises:

  • Maintain a gender balance of the number of characters that appear in our stories and animations.
  • Create female characters:
  • With real characteristics, virtues, and defects, with proper and inappropriate behaviors.
  • In real situations: comfortable, pleasant, difficult, and challenging.
  • Who assume different roles, including leadership in different settings.
  • With the ability to reflect on situations, thoughts, and emotions, and on her condition as a woman in the current context.
  • That promote and sustain dialogues and discussions among themselves, as well as with people of other genders.
  • That compete and support each other.
  • Who make decisions and in positions of power, it is not exclusive.
  • As role models that inspire others.
  • Do not reinforce stereotypes.
  • Do not generate a preference for any of the genres.
  • We monitor interaction and results with learning indicators differentiated by gender.

The model includes a compendium of terms and expressions.
